Kentz signs Iraq partnership deal with Dome

Kentz has signed a framework agreement with Dome Group, for an undisclosed sum, for a 49 per cent stake in Dome General Contracting, Iraq. The two companies have previously worked together on a number of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects in Iraq, as well as in other parts of the Middle East.

Kentz and Dome are currently in the process of negotiating several EPC project opportunities in Iraq, with newly established operating companies who signed contracts following two successful petroleum licensing rounds back in 2009.

“We are delighted to have signed this agreement with Dome, which allows us to build on our existing relationship with them in the Middle East and position Kentz/Dome to deliver project solutions to Iraqi operators, many of whom are existing clients,” said, chief executive of Kentz Group, Hugh O'Donnell.

“We are very pleased to extend our relationship with Kentz to pursue the new exciting opportunities in Iraq which has always been one of our core business areas,” added, managing director of Dome Group, Neil Miller.
